Itachi is truly an amazing character. The previous and this episode are now into my list of best and favourite episodes of Naruto.

I mean literally, just should've caught the guys who were "rebellious" and ended the rebellion and whatnot or should have used genjutsu but.... ironically whilst being one of the most intelligent characters he chose to do the same thing as the idiot Danzo would've done...
So I guess it's a bit too late to wonder why he did that even when he had other much better ways.

The whole clan was rebellious. You think only killing the rebellious ones would stop anything? Only delay it. Probably even hasten the rebellion. Itachi killing fellow (rebellious) Uchihas would further antagonize the clan and strengthen their even resolve more. They'd think the Village and ANBU brainwashed Itachi to kill his own clansmen and Civil War would break out anyway.

Lol the idea of using genjutsu on Uchiha clan is so dumb.
